Virtual Walk FAQs
What is a Virtual Walk?
A virtual walk can be walked (or ran) anytime and anywhere. Registered participants may walk individually or with a group of friends at a park, school, or at a gym on a treadmill.
How does a Virtual Walk work?
Start by registering for our virtual walk. We will send you a t-shirt, race bib, and a participation medal. Complete the distance on walk day anywhere you desire. Please email us at email@example.com a photo in your t-shirt, bib, and medal and we will then include it on our website!
Can I run?
Yes. Run, Walk, Crawl or bike... anything you want to do!
Do I have to complete the entire distance at once?
No. This is a virtual walk. You may take your time and walk at your own pace. Your participation is the most important aspect of the virtual walk. Finish the walk on walk day with us all at once or a little at a time.
Which is better, the 5K at Cordova High School or the Virtual Walk?
Latoya was an avid walker. She not only walked to maintain fitness, she also walked because she simply enjoyed the act of breathing in fresh air, releasing the stress of the day, and refocusing her attention on what really matters in life. Latoya would want everyone to have the opportunity to improve their health and mental state even if being physically present to walk with us at Cordova High School on April 10th isn't possible. Not to worry, we have created this virtual walk so that everyone can participate in this amazing cause. Just like onsite walkers, virtual walkers will receive a t-shirt, a race bib, and a participation medal. Therefore, pre-registration is strongly encouraged to ensure your registration packet is received in a timely manner. So no matter where you are located in the world, you can be a part of this special event.
How do I sign up for the virtual walk?
More information coming soon!
Is there anything else I need to know?
Yes. Once your registration is processed and your payment is received, we will then ship your race gear to you. Happy Walking and thank you for your support!
